The retable of Sant Feliu

The Art Museum of Girona preserves and exhibits in its rooms a series of paintings and of sculptural fragments coming from the old retable of Sant Feliu de Girona church. In order to make more understandable the whole paintings and sculptures as a part of a unitary set, we have filmed an audiovisual that helps to understand its quality and its long and complex history.

Shot on the old town of Girona and with the recreation of wardrobe, tools, artisans and the retable in 3D, the result is an historic, evocative and informative shortfilm, that takes us to the medieval Girona of 1500.

Firefighters museum

The firefighters museum of Barcelona is a permanent exhibition placed at the old Poble Sec Fire Station and created to make awareness among citizens about prevention.

To achieve this aim, Karavan created all the audiovisuals and interactive resources of the exhibition, following during a year the fire department and planning the audiovisuals to be projected in videowalls and big totems. Next film, is a summary of all the pieces made for the exhibition.

LEA

LEA is a European public procurement project for education projectes that involve technological innovation.

We had to explain in a clear and simple way the phases of this procurement proces to people who may not be familiar with the subject. That is why we worked on a simplification and synthesis of the content and a visual and understandable graphic support. And we got it right, because the result was a success!

Medieval stained glass

The elaboration of a medieval stained-glass window requires a great deal of technical and artistic rigor available to few restorers. To show this process, the Girona Art Museum has commissioned us to make a 4 minute audiovisual piece that shows in detail the different steps for its creation.

With a cinematic aesthetic and an atmosphere that moves us to another age, the film has been shot at the Cathedral of Girona, the Can Pinyonaire stained glass workshop and the Hot Iron Workshop of Sant Aniol de Finestres, and starred by Anna Santolaria, Curator-Creator of Stained Glass.
